Lisa Lydzius I

Lisa Lydzius is a Berlin-born and based landscape photographer with Lithuanian heritage.
The visual drama of her photographs stems from her keen eye for the subtle yet powerful emotions of nature and a life-long passion for the seemingly infinite spectrum of the shades of coldness. She has a rare talent for uniquely capturing even the most fleeting moments of amazing light and atmosphere with the help of her analog medium format camera.
Despite her preference for black and white images, she still sets a very high value on the intricacies of the color palette and dynamic range of detail created by the highlights and shadows of film. Furthermore, she strives to focus on the substantial and tangible, so that each image is inextricably bound to a moment in time. Her work reveals vast, unending spaces complemented by close-up details and man-made features or disturbances of landscapes.
